Safe area in Bangalore for families and women’s information is here, as per our opinion and survey. It is believed that the population growth of Bangalore city is mainly due to the software companies. Bangalore city is divided into two parts 1. Bangalore City 2. Bangalore Rural. In this blog, we will tell you about the safest and best areas to live in Bangalore. Bangalore city is known as the IT capital of India. It is also known as India’s Silicon Valley.
The golden age for IT companies in Bangalore truly began after 1980-1985. An international company called Texas Instruments started in Bangalore. After that, Infosys and Wipro companies were established. Since then, thousands of Information Technology (IT) companies have been established. The IT sector requires educated, technical, and skillful manpower, as well as support staff. Therefore, millions of software engineers work in Bangalore today.
In Bangalore city, IT parks are mainly located in some important areas. Such as Marathahalli, Whitefield, Bellandur, Sarjapur, Mahadevapura, Electronic City. From Marathahalli, areas like Mahadevapura, Nagwara, Whitefield, Bellandur, Sarjapur, HSR, Koramangala, and Indiranagar are nearby. Electronic City is a little further away. All these major areas are safe for families and women. There are many paying guest (PG) hostels here. The highest number of paying guest (PG) hostels are in the Marathahalli area. Along with that, there are also a large number of service apartments and rented flats.
Safe Areas in Bangalore for Families –
- Marathahalli –
Marathahalli was previously considered a rural area, but now it is considered a safe and livable area. This is because approximately 60% of the IT parks in Bangalore are located in and around Marathahalli. Google’s office is also near Marathahalli. Marathahalli primarily features the Prestige Tech Park, an IT park. Nearby are other large IT parks such as Cessna Business Park, RMZ Eco World, Global Technology Park, Bagmane Tech Park, and RMZ Eco Space. Therefore, many IT engineers choose Marathahalli and the surrounding area as their place of residence. The Marathahalli area was initially famous for its paying guest (PG) hostels, and it still is. The vibe in Marathahalli is distinctly South Indian. The Marathahalli area has many hotels, markets, and hospitals. Due to the presence of numerous paying guest (PG) accommodations in the Marathahalli area, there is a constant police presence. Marathahalli is close to Mahadevapura, Bellandur, Sarjapur Road, and Whitefield.
- Whitefield –
Whitefield is considered a posh area with an urban vibe. Whitefield houses the largest IT park – International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB), followed by Bagmane Tech and Business Park. The Marathahalli area is somewhat congested, but the Whitefield area is larger and more spacious. The roads in the Whitefield area are also better compared to other areas. Since Whitefield is connected to Marathahalli and Mahadevapura, many software engineers choose Whitefield as their place of residence. Compared to other areas, Whitefield is a bit expensive but safe for families and women. Whitefield has the largest Whitefield police station. Due to the many paying guest (PG) accommodations in Whitefield, the police constantly patrol this area.
- Bellandur Road and Sarjapur Road – Although Bellandur and Sarjapur Road are separate areas, they are adjacent to each other. This is because the Outer Ring Road connects both areas. These two areas have many large IT parks such as Cessna Business Park, RMZ Eco World and Eco Space, and Prestige Technology Park. Due to the presence of numerous IT parks in this area, many housing societies have been built here. Both areas are good and affordable places to live. The police stations for both Bellandur Road and Sarjapur Road are nearby. Therefore, there is a constant police presence in both areas, and the crime rate is low.
- HSR –
The HSR area is primarily known for shopping. HSR is considered a high-end area. Many startups have originated here, making it a favorite area for startup founders. Although there are no large IT parks in this area, it houses the headquarters of many startups. Therefore, many software engineers come to live in this area. This makes it one of the safest areas. Besides being famous for shopping and dining, it is also known as a prime residential area for the wealthy. This area is quite extensive. Due to the presence of major startups, luxury shopping areas, and prime residential areas, there is a constant police presence and patrolling.
- Koramangala –
This area is known for its IT technology parks, innovative parks, and as a business hub. Although there are fewer paying guest (PG) accommodations compared to other areas, there are many residential societies. This area is also a favorite among startup founders. Many startups have emerged here as well. Being a posh area and a shopping area, there is constant police patrolling here too. However, due to some car parking difficulties and congestion, many people only come here for work and dining, but fewer people choose to live here.
- Indiranagar –
Indiranagar is still famous primarily as a shopping and dining area. This area offers a blend of the old and new Bangalore vibe. A few years ago, many large businesses established themselves here, giving this area special importance. However, it has now become very crowded. Although it’s densely populated as a residential area, it remains popular for shopping. While Indiranagar doesn’t have any IT parks, it does have many corporate co-working spaces. Even today, this area is considered safe.
In our opinion, some of the safest areas in Bangalore for families and women are: Marathalli, Whitefield, Bellandur, Sarjapur, Mahadevpura, Koramangala, HSR, Indiranagar, Electronic City, and JP Nagar. Similarly, Rajajinagar and Rajarajeshwari are also excellent and safe areas to live in. In some parts of central Bangalore city, like Sadashivnagar and Basavangudi are posh and livable areas. But finding a home in Sadashivnagar and Basavangudi is difficult because of the high rent and the landlord’s attitude.
